Idaho-based H1 Energy's in-situ hydrocarbon development system has earned six patents from North American governments. The system is being prepared for field trials in 2026 in the Green River Basin of Utah. H1 Energy's in-situ hydrocarbon system is only the latest intellectual property of distinction from H1 Energy founder Larry Vance -- a forerunner in the adoption of hyperspectral remote sensing as a cost-conscious metals and mineral exploration since the early 2000s.

The Green River Basin of Wyoming and Utah and the Uintah Basin along the Utah-Colorado border hold some of the world's richest deposits of marlstone. The presence of these reserves has been the catalysts for successive legislative resolutions in the Utah Legislature committing the state's energy to growing into a global leader in energy development.

H1 Energy data point to a big carbon capture and sequestration revenue opportunity through its unique energy development technology: available carbon sequestration pores that exist following production at roughly a 4-to-1 ratio to gases extracted.

H1 Energy founder and exploration technologist Larry Vance has been at the vanguard of two of the most significant breakthroughs in resource development of the 20th and 21st centuries:
- In-situ gasification of hydrocarbons, including hydrogen, to replace fracking of oil shale
- Airborne hyperspectral remote sensing exploration for precious metals, minerals and unique habitats across the globe.

The bedrock of Utah consists in large part of one of the world's largest oil shale deposits. Traditional extraction methods have proven economically and environmentally prohibitive. H1 Energy has developed a patented approach that makes this resource viable while eliminating the major environmental impacts that have prevented previous development.

H1 Energy is working exclusively with accredited investors to fully subscribe an angel round of funding to carry out field testing of its protected technologies in 2026. Subsequently, these and other accredited investors will be welcomed to participate in a larger funding that could create a significant commercial producer of hydrocarbons upon completion of successful field trials.
H1 founder Larry Vance was a computer sales executive at IBM when he and his friend Dr. Don Nielson of the University of Utah geology faculty were invited by the U.S. government to witness in person its underground detonation of atom bombs to spur oil shale development in the Green River basin more than 50 years ago. The two men concluded there must be a better way to get at the rich oil shale reserves of the American West.
Soon, working with a friendly rancher whose lands included deposits of the marlstone such as that found across the Green River Basin, Vance frequently drove a pick-up truck into the backcountry to conduct tests to deepen his own understanding. Working with heat sent through a culvert into marlstone, Vance perfected the technology that in 2026 his H1 Energy team is field-testing for commercial viability in this same rich basin of the West. This field work comes in the context of President Donald Trump's 2025 executive order declaring a national energy emergency focused on ensuring the energy security critical to future economic growth for the United States -- in particular tech growth that Larry Vance saw the possibilities for so long ago.

Environmentally conscious states are calling for rapid adoption of hydrogen as a primary transportation fuel of the future for trucks, cars and perhaps in the future for the U.S. military. H1 Energy is prepared to serve as the catalyst of our smart-fuel future.
H1 Energy's technology, then, can be an "all-of-the-above" bridge to the future because it gives H1 Energy customers the ability to choose the precise energy mix required to fuel this growth: light crude oil, natural gas and hydrogen.

The energy-hungry U.S. economy is already driving major structural changes in business. The energy demands of artificial intelligence alone will keep companies such as H1 Energy busy for a century to come. H1 Energy welcomes accredited partners to help our team meet and serve America's demands for more power consumption than we've ever known we needed.
